Ramanand Sagar was an Indian film director by profession. He has directed so many films and T.V Serials but mainly popular for his unforgettable credit for making the Ramayana (Ramanand Sagar) which is a 78 – episodes religious T.V adaptation of the ancient Hindu Holy epic The Ramayana written by Valmiki and Tulsidas. For the creation of Ramayana Serial, Ramanand Sagar was awarded by the Honour of Padma Shri in Year 2000 by Government of India. Ramanand Sagar was died on 12 December 2005, (aged 87) in Mumbai.
